How to Obtain Turkish Citizenship Through Investment

Citizenship in Turkey may be acquired either through the purchase of real estate or by making a qualifying investment, in accordance with the relevant legal provisions. Turkey offers a citizenship-by-investment program that allows foreign investors to acquire Turkish citizenship under certain conditions. A foreigner can acquire Turkish citizenship by making a minimum investment of $500,000 in government bonds, venture capital funds, or real estate investment trusts (REITs), provided that the investment is maintained for at least three years. Another option is to acquire Turkish citizenship by purchasing real estate worth at least $400,000 (previously $250,000) and committing to hold the property for a minimum of three years.
